HTC on Friday at its 'Double Exposure' event in India has launched its RE action camera at an introductory price of Rs. 9,990, and says it will be exclusively available via e-commerce site Snapdeal in the first week of November.

The new GoPro-like RE action camera is called "a remarkable little camera" by HTC. It was launched globally last week alongside the Desire Eye selfie-focused smartphone.

Apart from the RE camera, HTC has also launched the One (M8 Eye), as well as the octa-core Desire 820 and quad-core Desire 820q smartphones in India. The company also launched the Desire Eye selfie-focused smartphone in the country, besides the budget Desire 516C smartphone.

To power the device, there is an 820mAh battery claimed to be enough for clicking 1200 photos or 1 hour 40 minutes continuous full-HD video recording. The RE camera action camera comes with 32MB ROM and 256MB of DDR RAM with microSD card support.

For connectivity, there are Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, and Micro-USB options. HTC has also announced several accessories for the RE camera, such as an adjustable clamp, charging stand, universal mounting stand, universal wall plug (charger), portable battery, and dual-port adopter.
